Stretching their Lead at the top of the table is a target for the Black Pearls Rugby team as they visit She Wolves in Mbale on Saturday.
The Black Pearls on top of the log with 39 points, nine ahead of challenger Thunderbirds(30pts), will be out to stretch their lead.
Pearls beat Wolves in the first leg 72-10, but coach Helen Buteme has cautioned her charges against complacency.
“We beat them 72-12, but that should not be a yardstick to underrate them. In our previous game against Thunderbirds, we played badly failing to get a bonus point, but we are going for it,” Buteme said.
Buteme added that with all her players available she is going for a bonus point in Saturday's game as she looks to defend the league title won last year.
Emilly Lekuru with 46 tries, Charlotte Mudoola (6tries), Mary Nakato and Bushira Namutebi, Zulaika Mukyala, Rebecca Kabajungu, and Suzan Adong will be out to guide the Pearls to a bonus point victory.
In the other games, Thunderbirds host Black Panthers at 2 pm at Kyadondo Rugby ground, and Nile Rapids face Avengers in Jinja.
In the Men’s championship, last year’s league Champions the Stanbic Black Pirates struggling in the third position of the championship host Makerere Impis at the Kings Park Arena in Bweyogerere.
The KCB KOBS hosts Walukuba at 4 pm while Lifeguard Rams play Warriors at 2 pm at Legend Rugby Club and the Eagles host Rhinos in Kitante at 4 pm.
The Jinja Hippos in the second position on the Log visit Plascon Mongers in Entebbe while the Toyota Buffaloes host their big brothers Platinum Credit Heathens.
