Artistes are often celebrated for their outstanding performances and projects, labelled as hits, mega projects, and wonders. However, the public is often unaware of the challenges and unconventional methods artistes employ behind the scenes to create their masterpieces.

A recent incident involving the leaked studio session of singer Ronald Mayinja shed light on the intense efforts artistes put into their work.

In the video, the Necklace hitmaker was seen shouting passionately to craft different sounds and words for a song, making some people question his vocal abilities.

Mayinja revealed that such sessions are a common occurrence for many artistes, emphasising the varied efforts invested in each project.

He explained: "During rehearsals and studio sessions, we do many things that the public does not know to make the song a good one. We shout, dance, jump, and do all sorts of things to bring to you the best of us. Every song brings its own vibe, depending on the theme, its audience, and timing."

Supporting Mayinja's perspective, lugaflow rapper Kian Banks highlighted the transformative power of talent during creative processes.

Despite being known as a quiet person, Banks shared how he becomes a different persona in the studio, flowing with words effortlessly. He referred to this phenomenon as vibe, acknowledging that it can lead artistes to do things outside their norm.

While some may attribute this behaviour to being high, Banks insisted on calling it vibe.

He emphasised that this creative energy can drive artistes to do things they wouldn't in their normal state.

Film actor and director Tony Lutakome Kayanja added humour to the discussion, recalling the unconventional actions he has taken on set to enhance the quality of a movie.

"I wish people could see what happens behind the scenes. So much happens that we cannot control, and it's insane. But all this is for the good of the project, and we are happy that in the end, people like the projects although they do not know what transpires behind the curtains," Kayanja expressed.

The public often sees only the polished final products of artistes' work, missing the wild and unconventional efforts that go into creating these projects.

Unlike movie actors who occasionally share behind-the-scenes glimpses, musicians, poets, and other creatives keep their unconventional processes hidden, making it challenging for the public to witness the extent of their dedication to delivering captivating and beautiful projects.
