Nansana, a vibrant and close-knit community located just outside of Kampala city and its residents have taken it upon themselves to organise a grand charity festival.
This festival, dubbed the Nansana Festival, which is scheduled to take place at the Holy Farm in Nansana, aims to replace the former KCCA carnival that used to take place in Kampala city.
"The Nansana Festival is not just an opportunity for residents to come together and have a good time, but it also serves a greater purpose. The money raised from the event will be used to sponsor various youth activities in Nansana. From helping with school fees to providing a simple capital boost for small businesses like washing bays, the residents of Nansana are determined to uplift the welfare of their community," said musician Jkass (Ismail Kasasa), one of the organisers.
The festival promises an array of exciting and entertaining activities for everyone to enjoy. With different stages for performances and a dedicated kids play area, there will be something for people of all ages.
One of the highlights of the Nansana Festival will be the showcase of products made in Nansana. This provides a platform for local artisans and entrepreneurs to display their talents and creations, further promoting the growth of businesses within the community.
The organisers have invested in top-notch production and attracted renowned performers like Mariachi, Madrat and Chiko, musician Da Agent and many more. These charismatic comedians and musicians are sure to keep the crowd entertained throughout the event.
It is not just a celebration, but a testament to the unity and determination of the people living in Nansana to create a better future for themselves and their youth.
The emergency of the Nansana Festival stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together, celebrates their achievements, and supports each other's aspirations.
